I can’t believe how many amazing families I have had the opportunity to photograph this fall! I have photographed this family several times and now when we get together it is like catching up with old friends. As I was preparing for the photo session, all I was thinking was I wonder how big they have gotten and how much have they changed. And wow, I think this was our most fun session yet. The children were a little older and I think they had a really great time at our session. It started with some amazing laughs at the dog, who was hilarious and the good times didn’t stop. Annual family photos can easily become a tradition in your family. I focus on making the session fun and relaxed and easy. There are so many laughs and smiles that the photo session is something everyone can look forward to. One of the best ideas I have heard is to make photo session day a whole event. Mom can get her hair done in the afternoon, then everyone gets dressed up for their pictures. Often in new outfits picked just for the occasion, then we meet an any spectacular location in Calgary – of which there are many. Then comes the session, an hour to an hour and a half of good times. We smile, we dance, we run, we play, we laugh. Then after the photos are done, many of the families I work with will head out for a nice dinner together. I think that sounds like a pretty amazing day!
