Last summer I decided that I wanted to hold individual photo session with each of my kids. Each photo session would highlight something that they loved or my favourite part of their personality. Sadly, It has taken me a whole year to complete these sessions. Last summer I was able to photograph Eli – my oldest – and Henry – my youngest, who I haven’t even blogged – yikes. Then things got busy and poor Lucy and Oliver had to wait. For Lucy’s session I needed a gorgeous summer evening. one where the light was just right and everything was nice and green. Here is just one image from last night’s session and I have to say that I think that everything came together perfectly for her session. Over a year in the making and it was just perfect. These individual sessions with the kids are so much fun and I love how special it makes them feel. It is some fun one on one time that we get to have doing something they love. I love how we can share in something that makes them unique. So often with four kids we do everything together. We love being together as a family and our kids are each other’s best friends, but I love seeing them shine on their own as well. I can’t wait to share the rest of this session with you, but here is just a tiny taste for now. Off to shoot Oliver’s photos tonight.
